Did Anyone got 2 year EAD when I-140 pending? There is some stupid assumption posted on some immigration website that USCIS is issuing 2 yr EAD to approved 140 petitions only..

I've just got all the info for setting up conference call and meeting with the lawmakers "info" kit.
Once I've digested the contents of both, I'll be setting up a call, probably early next week. Here is the IV lawmaker kit http://immigrationvoice.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=53&Itemid=36

NumbersUSA just says that S.9 is similar to S.2611, which died last year. I don't think NumbersUSA has the text for S.9. From NumbersUSA

My Lawyer put the A# from the EAD used during OPT. She put OPT in brackets and mentioned to me that USCIS will change this A#.

ACLU is using USCIS/FBI over namecheck delays. Not sure if the lawsuit is limited to Citizenship applicants or GC applicants can be included.

Applied at tsc on 2aug card prodn. ordered on 23rd oct. But I have received 3 lud's after that on 485 and 2 on 765, my 140 is still pending at TSC applied on 29 of july.

I am planning to apply my niece to come to USA to study 8th grader in private school. She is 13 years old in May 2011. I believe she doesn't need to go for an interview at US embassy in Bangkok Thailand. What do I suppose to do then? How do I submit her DS-160 (already finish filling online) and other document? What else do I need to know in order for her to come to the US.

It doesnt matter at what day you apply, there are a lot of applications "pending" from before that will take up the "available" visa numbers, we still have to go through name check and other stuff that takes forever :D its a black hole all you can do is pray and hope your application gets looked at soon and the visa #'s stay current for atleast another 3 months.

My H1 has expired on 31st August, 2009. My disgraced company applied for extention in the month of May 2009 in regular Processing. Still waiting for Approval and have Receipt Notice only from Vermount center.:confused::mad::(:(:eek::eek:
I applied for 11th year H1B extension in June 2009 @ Vermont center and now I got an RFE which asks us to submit the end client letter with details likes the duration of the project, name of the supervisor, if vendor is involved then vendor details. I've been with the same employer (desi consulting firm) for last 7 years and with the same client for last 6 years. I dont know what will happen but I am doing everything I can and prepared for worst case scenario.

I'm sorry to react so strongly, also... It's important to remember that being there with the right light at the right time is what matters. Even if you've just got a drebel with the 18-55 or a d?0 with the 18-70, using the lenses at their strong points will make nice 11x14's or maybe even 16x20's depending on your taste for putting nose grease on your prints. ;)

I am in the same boat as you. My EAD expires on Sept 12th. Still no response from NSC center. I have few friends that I know, who filed after I did and they all have recieved their EADs. Not sure whats going on.
I would suggest you call uscis and place a request to expedite or call the congressman in your area to help expedite. I did place an expedite request and fortunately within 5 days from placing the expedite request my status changed from initial review to CPO

It's probably going to be too little too late to just file an LCA now.
I am not sure why people like your brother don't get in touch with top attorneys (Murthy/Khanna etc) and get their case back on track, depending on employers to handle such complications is very risky and not necessarily in the best interest of the employee.

the fact that there were so many EAD applicants through June/July - the workload will be very high on USCIS so everyone will file at the earliest ie proposed 120 days prior to expiry.

I have these many options - which one should I choose?
1. You need Service on a case that has already been filed

3. You want to file an application in person
4. You need information or other services
5. You need a form
