It seems like ages since the federal government transformed the rules on when and how foreign citizens apply for visas to enter the United States. Company A has filed my 485/EAD/AP. I am planning to change company B on AC21 after 180 days. Can I use AP which is filed by company A, for travel purpose after switching to Company B?

Hi,
I want to go outside of US and return back on December 8, 2010 while my passport expires on June 6, 2011. I will be entering on an advance parole document obtained as an I-485 applicant. As such at point of entry my passport will be expiring in less than 6 months (5 months 28 days). Please let me know if the passport needs to be valid for 6 months at the time of entry or this restriction does not apply to entry based on parole.

The expiry date of B1/B2 is printed on the visa. Getting F1 does not invalidate B1/B2. Unless the visa issuer put a stamp on the B1/B2 as "Cancelled", it is still valid!

Can we apply for a new EAD/AP after they expire?
If so, what is the difference b/w applying for an extension vs. a new one in terms of fees/documents/photos/etc.?
The reason being I already spent $1000 for EAD/AP last yr. but never used it, and now I have bear all H1 (extension) expenses as well as employer sucked all my blood & is after my limbs after 8 years of slavery. On top of that has stopped paying salary since April.
Hence I am trying to cut corners whenever wherever possible. Any responses or help greatly appreciated.

You can only change the name on the visa by applying for a new visa. Since that is probably impractical and too much trouble, I recommend keeping the visa as is until you need a new one. If the name on your other documents is your married name, you can carry a copy of your marriage cert. to show the reason for the difference.

Can we pursue to have an amendment like SKIL bill or something in Economy stimulus bill? The amendment can be relevant to economy stimulus since it will give competitive advantage to america thereby stimulating the economy. (Something like AC21 made into law in 2000 to increase american competitiveness to stimulate economy)
Also, this way, there is a chance that legal immigration issues will be discussed separately from illegal immigration issues.
The economy stimulus bill is being currently discussed in House and soon will be in Senate where lot of amendments will be voted on. The bill seems to have bi-partisan support as well. We can hope this will be one more amendment to the bill!
